GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Our top priority is to improve homeownership opportunities, revitalize impoverished communities, provide and maintain a supply of high-quality affordable homes, encourage community development, and offer economic opportunities.
Education and Youth Development
We are in search of opportunities to help as many youth as possible. We approach and fund all those who are in need.
Preparing youth for the future is something that VTIVCDC is compassionate about. Evolving positive individuals of tomorrow begins with our youth of today. At times, extra efforts are needed to offer youths an opportunity to be successful in life.
VTIVCDC education and youth development program, developed the initiative VTIV Yotah (youth to adulthood) that addresses the needs to provide all youth, regardless of background, with a significant chance to achieve in life.
Through this program we will work to help the youth of today become ready for the future by preparing them for college, the workforce and for everyday life. Through our efforts we will build the next generation of leaders and visionaries.
VTIVCDC would also like to offer the above-mentioned initiative along with ESL for youth and adults, Adult Education and other Education of Higher Learning programs for those of the community to excel.
VTIVCDC needs your help to help create and maintain these new initiatives that will result in promoting academic achievement for the children, young adults and adults of the community.
Health and Wellness
VTIVCDC health and wellness program, has created yet another initiative known as VTIV Optimum. Its objective is to provide quality and affordable healthcare, healthcare management and chronic disease prevention by making availability to nutritious foods, meal planning, free use of exercise equipment and fitness programs for disadvantaged populations in the community.
We will be partnering with others to offer these services along with healthcare education, awareness and advocacy and affordable health insurance enrollment and other services available to building a healthy community. Transportation Services
VTIV Commute, another initiative that was created to provide reliable transportation, by way of inexpensive public transit for those who don’t have means of transportation and want to work, attend school, shop, or just enjoy the scenery of the next neighboring town or city that has those opportunities.
VTIV Commute will be receiving funding for the functioning and financing of the program from passenger fares and local, state and federal funds.
This means of transportation will be of great maintenance and kept sanitary to keep the progress of the service. The hours of operation will vary based on statistics of direction and distance.
Career Development
For entrepreneurs who want to start and grow small businesses, we’ve created a new initiative, VTIV Business Network, to assist ambitious entrepreneurs who may encounter many barriers in their entrepreneurial journey.
This program is for those individuals to connect with others who may contribute towards their success by way of networking. This will create access to training, support, resources and business solutions.
For those who are not as ambitious but would like to acquire skills to obtain and maintain gainful employment, would have access to vocational and technical training to prepare for job placement.
Housing and Social Services
VTIVCDC housing and social services, known as VTIV Betterment, objective is to focus on providing preventative services, such as counseling and mentoring to youth and those that are at risk of danger by way of counseling, mentoring, group activities and any other outreach program that may assist with creating a better way of life for such individual(s).
VTIVCDC aims towards betterment by offering free shelter (this service would be based on availability), food and necessities to homeless individuals and other services that gear towards homeless prevention. Our organization’s goal is to build new, and rehab blighted houses in impoverished communities to make them affordable for renting and ownership. This would all be done through programs funded by local, state and federal funds.
For qualifying individuals to utilize funding from these programs, they must satisfy certain requirements. The individual must be willing to become selfsufficient, be creditworthy to obtain an affordable loan, and follow other guidelines. That’s where VTIVCDC step in. Our organization will educate and assist by helping the participant prepare for homeownership.
Other services VTIVCDC will be providing is food distribution for low-income families, eldercare and companionship to seniors, free or low-income advocacy, tax preparation, notarial and business development services to those who qualifies. We also aim to offer all these services to veterans free of charge.
Childcare Assistance Program
We understand that obtaining good, reliable and affordable childcare for working parents, those attending school or seeking employment can be challenging.
VTIVCDC is interested in assisting by offering childcare financial aid through the initiative VTIV Chaps for low to moderate income families who qualifies. This allows those who qualifies, to pay a percentage of the childcare fees based upon those qualifications.
